What you will do

  • Own architecture and delivery for 1–2 concurrent client applications
  • Write the parts that carry risk — auth, payments, integrations, data migration
  • Set and hold the code review standard
  • Sit in client calls and translate business problems into technical scope
  • Mentor mid-level developers through review, not lectures
  • Own production: monitoring, incidents, the fix

What we are looking for

  • 4+ years of production Laravel, including at least one application you took from empty repository to live
  • Fluent SQL and comfortable with query performance under real load
  • Queues, caching and background processing as routine, not research
  • You've integrated a payment gateway and know where it goes wrong
  • You can explain a technical trade-off to a non-technical client without condescending
  • You push back on a bad requirement before you build it

Nice to have

  • Vue or Inertia
  • AWS and infrastructure-as-code
  • Multi-tenant applications

These are genuinely optional. If you meet most of the core requirements and none of these, we would still like to hear from you.

How we interview

  1. Intro call, 30 minutes — the role, your questions, what you want next.
  2. Practical exercise, around 2 hours, done in your own time and paid.
  3. Technical or craft conversation, 60 minutes — we walk through your exercise together.
  4. Offer within 3 working days of the last conversation.

We reply to every application, including the ones we decline.
